Welcome to the Recommendr blog

Key takeaways

  • Every piece either resolves a contradiction, corrects a claim, or reports an experiment we ran.
  • We publish failures. A negative result is still a result.
  • One post a week, every Tuesday. Subscribe below.

This is where we publish what we test.

Each piece does one of three things: resolves a contradiction in the field, corrects a claim that got repeated without checking, or reports an experiment we ran ourselves — including the ones that did not work.

What to expect

  • One post a week, published on Tuesday
  • Every claim attributed — if it came from somewhere, we say where
  • Failures included — a negative result is still a result

Why this exists

Most of what gets published about answer engine optimization has never been tested twice. We got tired of reading the same recycled findings dressed up as new insight, so we started running our own experiments and writing up what happened.

Frequently asked questions

How often do you publish?

Once a week, on Tuesdays. If nothing worth reporting happened that week, we say that instead of padding it.

What topics do you cover?

Answer engine optimization — specifically: how AI search works, what gets cited and why, tactics that have been tested with a control group, and contradictions in the field that nobody has reconciled.

Can I submit a question or topic?

Yes. Email rankme@recommendrai.com with the subject line 'Blog topic' and we will look at it.
